Liv Tyler's heart may belong to Givenchy, but she certainly still has feelings for it's ex-creative director, Alexander McQueen. "His tailoring is sensational," Tyler who was dressed by McQueen for three of her Lord of the Rings premieres, told press on the red carpet of the LA premiere ofThe Return of the King, for which she chose one of his stunning black creations.
"You feel pretty and womanly. He cuts great for curves, but you also don't feel like you're hanging out at all." McQueen himself, who put Tyler in a smart red trouser suit for the London opening of The Fellowship of the Ring and a pink corset gown for the Paris premiere of The Two Towers, admits to taking an individual approach to each of his red carpet performances.
"When I design for the red carpet, I am aware that this is one woman on her own in front of the world press," he told Womens Wear Daily. "For me, it is not about how many foxes you can get around your neck or how big the rock on your finger is. It's about the individual. You wear the clothes, they shouldn't wear you. Liv embodies this idea beautifully."
